When I bought the canon brand ink to see if the issue was the printer, it printed out clearly. I was beguiled because of the price, and I'm thinking of throwing the color ink cartridge in the garbage. If you want color printing that actually shows true color, don't buy this product. That's a 50-50 track record, and those are bad odds. So now I have to go through the return process and meanwhile I'm unable to print. Reinstalling the spent black cartridge works fine.
Black cartridge will not work, even after cleaning contacts and checking everything. UPDATE: Had good luck with these so when it was time to reorder, I did. These cartridges are - so far - spotless and producing clean, professional results. The last ink cartridges I purchased made a big mess in my printer, and although I tried to clean wherever I could, my print jobs still came out with globs of ink in various places, ruining the printed media and getting ink anywhere I set them down.
